“Fashion is a reflection of time” declares current Vogue editor Anna Wintour. The iconic and highly influential magazine, Vogue, continues its impact in not only high fashion but also fine art. As Vogue gets ready for its annual Met Gala, a prestigious fundraising event held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, artist Melissa Peck revisits her collection of vintage Vogue covers, which she credits as the inspiration for her latest series, “En Vogue”. Peck revives these 100-year-old covers by combining the bold yet simple colors, as well as the hairstyles and fashion, with her signature surreal twist. Bonner David New York welcomes Melissa Peck to her debut show on Thursday, May 5th, from 6-9 pm. Fashion’s biggest night out begins at the Met and continues just a few steps away at our gallery where you can experience fashion and art's influence on one another.
