Max Hammond : Notes of Flying Things
“As much as I can appreciate engineering, my work is more about impressions and impulses than anything precise."
Bonner David Galleries presents Notes on Flying Things, a new solo exhibition by Max Hammond. Known for his richly textured surfaces and evocative use of color, Hammond’s latest works explore the ideas of motion, levity, and escape through floating forms that hover between abstraction and playful invention.
Inspired by clouds, rockets, zeppelins, and the wonder of flight, Hammond creates compositions that drift across the canvas with a quiet, meditative rhythm. Shapes bounce and float, offering viewers a refuge from the noise of everyday life and inviting them into a visual language of stillness, imagination, and curiosity.
