“In 2021, we decided to purchase a second home in Scottsdale. We were introduced to Christi Bonner Manuelito by the previous owner after falling in love with and buying several pieces that were already in the house—except for one.

There was one Hunt Slonem piece that the previous owner couldn’t part with, but he mentioned that there was a similar painting available at Bonner David Galleries. That’s when Christi’s name was first planted, as he was a Bonner David Galleries client. After meeting Christi, she went through each piece we owned as we got closer to moving day, and together we decided which to include in the new home and where to hang them. She made it so easy.

Since that time, collecting through Christi has just been a joy. I’m typically more of a traditionalist and she has introduced me to new artists, giving me the courage to try new things, from contemporary to sculpture. Christi and Connor have hung each new piece that we’ve purchased in my home, and they look absolutely amazing. She has also cleaned and reframed some existing pieces, giving them a brand-new look and really enhancing each painting.

Apart from Christi’s expertise, she is trustworthy, always approachable, provides excellent advice, has true integrity and is an educator. She's just a sunshine of an old soul.”

“We first discovered Bonner David Galleries while in Scottsdale on a business trip from the East Coast over twenty years ago and have been working closely with Clark David Olson ever since.

One day we were walking around Scottsdale. We walked into Bonner David Galleries, and we walked out with 3 or 4 pieces. Since that time, we have purchased and commissioned many pieces and fallen in love with so many of the artists and their work, like Katherine Lemke Waste.

We haven’t been back to Arizona in many years, so I’ll call Clark if I see something I like on the website, and he’ll wrap it up and send it to me. Of course, we were very excited when the gallery in New York City opened because we are so close!

I have always found Bonner David Galleries, Clark, and the entire team to be so warm and welcoming, genuine, honest, friendly, and approachable. It is an inviting art experience where you can ask any question and feel at home.

They are also full service and so knowledgeable. I am very particular about how each piece is matted and framed, and he ensures that everything is just as I like it. He and the entire team, including Rebecca at the New York City Gallery, are so accommodating, whether it’s framing, shipping, hanging—or keeping an eye out for pieces that we may like.

Clark knows us, he knows what we like, and we love him. He is wonderful to work with, a great friend, and he really takes care of everything. He is our own personal art guru.”

“In 2020, after a visit to The Metropolitan Museum of Art, I was strolling through the surrounding neighborhood on the Upper East Side when I came across Bonner David Galleries, just a half a block away from The Met.

It was at the height of the COVID pandemic in New York City, and I saw a painting in the window of Bonner David Galleries by Francis Livingston that I really liked. Shortly thereafter, I stopped in when they were open and started talking to Rebecca Rosenfield. She was so welcoming and terrific, we hit it off immediately—and I really love the artists and the works in the gallery.

Rebecca offered to come to my apartment to hang the painting so I could see it in my own space before purchasing it, which made all the difference, and she has done the same with additional works that I’ve acquired.

Since that time, I’ve stopped by the gallery many times, Rebecca has invited me to special exhibits, and we’re friends to this day. Rebecca makes art very accessible. She is clearly very well informed on both the artists that they represent and the art world in general, yet she is so approachable, and I have never felt pressured. Rebecca’s has a genuine love of art that she loves to share, and the welcoming environment at Bonner David Galleries really makes it stand out from other galleries.”

“I have been working with Christi Bonner Manuelito since 2020, when I serendipitously stopped by Bonner David Galleries in Old Town Scottsdale one day with a friend.

I've always been very interested in art of all different kinds, and I love that the gallery has a contemporary side and a traditional side. I have acquired pieces from both and plan to continue. I have also loved meeting some of the artists, facilitated by Christi.

What is special about Christi is that she is so knowledgeable, she really takes the time to listen, and is wonderful to work with no matter how much you know about art. She is also generous, enthusiastic, great about picking up on someone’s interests and works with you as a partner. She never just tries to sell you something.

Twice in the past two years Christi and Connor have helped me with moves. They have come to my home to pack up all the art, wrap every piece, manage the company to move it and then store it until it can be transported—and then she and Connor reinstall and rehang everything. Christi takes care of everything. She just loves the work, the gallery, and her clients, and she makes that all very clear.”

“Every time I would walk down Main Street in Old Town Scottsdale, the art in the window at Bonner David Galleries would catch my eye. I’ve been working with Clark David Olson since the first day I stepped into the gallery to take a closer look.

That was years ago. Today, my entire house is filled with art from Bonner David Galleries. They always have something new and unique.

Clark is so smart, very accommodating, really puts you at ease, and I have never felt pressured. He is also very creative and takes care of absolutely everything. Clark has come to my home in Arizona – as well as my home out-of-state – to measure, hang and rehang each painting.

He knows exactly what I like, and he’ll call me with wonderful recommendations, whether it’s a new artist or work of art. I can truly say that every piece I have acquired has a story and is a personal reflection of me. Clark and I have a lot in common and he has become a great friend over the years.”

“When we moved into our current apartment, we wanted to add some contemporary art to modernize our decor. We searched for contemporary art galleries on the Upper East Side and discovered Bonner David Galleries.

We were attracted to the artists represented by Bonner David, so we went over to the gallery, met Rebecca Rosenfield, and were fortunate to get a preview of Claudia Hartley’s paintings on display for her upcoming show. Claudia Hartley’s bright and joyful work was just what we were looking for. We purchased one of her paintings that very day. Rebecca introduced us to the work of other artists she thought we might like and since that time we have bought several additional works of those artists.

Bonner David Galleries is a warm and inviting place. Rebecca, with her little dog Pom in tow, makes you feel comfortable the minute you walk through the door. Her expertise and knowledge are vast; she will answer any question, is accommodating, and helped us find the pieces we fell in love with even if it meant having them shipped from the Scottsdale gallery.

Rebecca brought the art to our home so we could actually see it in the spot we planned to hang it. She helped us find the right size piece for a particular wall and then hung it for us. She is a huge asset to the gallery and really goes above and beyond to make sure you are purchasing pieces you will love for years to come. We believe you will be 100% satisfied with your experience at Bonner David Galleries.”

“Several years ago, we discovered Bonner David Galleries while wandering through Old Town Scottsdale. Since that time, we have purchased and commissioned several works from the gallery.

We’ve been working with Christi Bonner Manuelito and team now for over a decade – for so many reasons. Apart from the fact that the gallery has the type of art that we like, Christi is very talented and has a great eye. She is trustworthy and you can take what she says at face value. She looks out for her clients, has their best interests at heart and we’ve never felt pressured. She really wants collectors to love the art and she’ll go the extra mile, even encouraging collectors to take a piece home and live with it for a few days before making a final decision.

Over the years, Christi has reframed several pieces for us, and after a recent move, she not only advised where and how to display each piece, but she and her team came to the house and hung each one. She brought the entire experience to life in a way that beautifully complements our home and highlights our favorites.

When you call Christi, she is always in a great mood, patient, and happy to hear from you. We love her not just as a gallery owner, but as a friend.”

“When I relocated to the Valley in 2005, my interior designer introduced me to Christi Bonner Manuelito. The first piece I purchased from Bonner David Galleries was a Max Hammond.

That was the first major piece of art that I had ever bought. Christi is a great educator and has really made me think about art differently, not just as something that should match the walls, but instead thinking about art as expression of yourself—how it makes you feel and whether it really brings you joy. She’s not selling you art for the sake of selling you a piece of art. She's very clear about saying that if it doesn't bring you joy, then move on.

Since that time, I have acquired many others. Christi and the team at Bonner David Galleries really get to know you as an individual. And, apart from her guidance, she really is there to help with everything. Once a quarter, Christi has a Shona sculpture cleaned that I keep outdoors, she has come to my house to look at the walls to help with sizing, sends me photos during installations, and so much more.

At one point I did a major remodel and had to move out of my house for 15 months. Christi came over, packaged up all the paintings, arranged for a company to move and store them—and when the remodel was finished, she reinstalled all the art. During the remodel, we even thought about where to place the paintings and she recommended art lights to reflect on the art more specifically, as opposed to just spotlights.

I do believe that the experience you get at Bonner David Galleries Is a step above other galleries. They're there to help you. Christi is caring, fun, authentic, and really cares about her clients. I consider her a friend.”

“After moving into my new apartment on the Upper East Side a few years ago, I decided that I had to fill the blank walls. For inspiration, I walked around and looked at several galleries in the neighborhood. A painting in the window of Bonner David Galleries caught my eye.

It was a small painting of a villa in the French countryside by Claudia Hartley, which reminded me of my family in France. When I walked into the gallery, they were so genuine and welcoming. Since buying that first painting, I have built a strong friendship with Rebecca Rosenfield and Christi Bonner Manuelito, have bought a few more pieces, and have gone to many shows in New York and Scottsdale.

Rebecca is kind, authentic, and so passionate about art—and since day one, everyone at Bonner David Galleries has been so helpful and supportive. I really value the rapport with the whole team. In New York, Rebecca brought several pieces to my apartment so I could see a few options in my own space before making a decision, and then helped to hang the art. After I moved to California, Christi helped me find the perfect spot for each painting in my new home, and now Rebecca sends me videos every time she sees a new piece I may like.

Bonner David Galleries is a step above many others I have visited. It’s a warm, inclusive environment and they really make you feel like you are part of the family.”

“Not long after moving to Scottsdale, we were dining at a friend’s house one evening. We just loved the art in their home. They highly recommended Clark David Olson and Bonner David Galleries.

Soon after, we headed to Old Town Scottsdale to visit a few galleries, including Bonner David Galleries, and have worked with them ever since. Clark is very friendly and fun, yet also very professional, knowledgeable, and not at all intimidating to first-time buyers.

He has helped us to find the right art for our home and has also helped us hang each piece of artwork that we have purchased.

We just love both Clark and Christi! We’re made to feel like we’re part of the Bonner David family.”

“I first met Rebecca Rosenfield after finding a painting online by Max Hammond and discovering that it was at Bonner David Galleries New York.

Rebecca offered to walk it across to my apartment to let me see if it worked in my space, and then hang it, which was above and beyond what I had expected from an online search.

Since then, we have bought several works of art from Bonner David Galleries—paintings, multi-media works, sculpture and metal art. Rebecca and team have shipped, framed, and installed pieces for us at multiple locations. She has also hunted down specific works that we have been interested in and helped us curate several pieces.

What makes Rebecca stand out is that her involvement with a client is not transactional. She is genuinely interested in learning about you as an individual and putting her knowledge and creativity to work for you. Using the unique repertoire of Bonner David Galleries, Rebecca is able to suggest artists and works of art that enhance your existing collection, and she encourages you to go in directions that you might not have thought of otherwise.

Rebecca is avant-garde, unique and professional, and it is a delight to work with her. Her knowledge, energy and passion for art have made her both a friend and a trusted advisor.”

“We first met Clark David Olson years ago and became friends when he was working for another gallery, so it was a given that we would continue to work with him after he and Christi opened Bonner David Galleries.

Clark has helped us find several pieces, allowing us to take art home on approval to make sure we really love it before buying, and then will come over to make sure each piece is properly hung – even after normal business hours. He has also helped us to rearrange the art in our home, which somehow always makes it feel new again.

He is so multi-talented. Clark loves the artwork, pleasing customers and doing the extraordinary. He is informal and friendly, always welcoming, and not intimidating, yet very professional with an intellectual expertise that always makes us feel like we’re learning something new. He also has an incredible eye and is the consummate salesperson in the very best way, in that he will always find what you are looking for. Working with Clark is like having your own personal curator.”
